Endicia.com Vs Stamps.com – Where To Order Postage Stamps Online?
Feb 19, 2010 Postage Services
Where to order postage stamps online? Well, a quick search on the Google search engine reveals well over 3 million results relating to online postage stamp services and websites. HOWEVER, among these websites, Endicia.com and Stamps.com are the most popular. Being someone who got sick and tired of falling in line at the post office, I gave both of these online postage services a try. And here’s what I have found:
Where To Order Postage Stamps Online – Endicia.com
At first sight, Endicia.com may look like the ticket for convenience and flexibility especially for commercial applications. HOWEVER, experience with Endicia.com told me that the stamp feedstock is extremely expensive for taking care of household mailing and postage demands. According to the latest stats and calculations I have made, it adds approximately $0.105 to the cost of postage or about 7 cents if you would grab 2000 labels in one go. If the United States Postal Office would add 10 cents to First Class mailing rate, I’m pretty sure that it would cause a public outrage!
Along with that, there is something that potential subscribers and buyers for Endicia.com should know about – they are the only supplier for the stamp feedstock for LabelWriter Turbo label printers. Well, according to the owners, this is to protect them by preventing users from illegally printing unauthorized stamps and postages. I don’t know about you BUT I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how such a risk could arise. Along with that, the LabelWriter Printer occasionally allows jam ups especially with the sticky side of the label. And just in case you don’t know, this means a huge potential for more expenses.
While it is true that Endicia’s software notifies you that you need to have sufficient labels on the roll for you to complete multiple stamp printing. HOWEVER, it doesn’t tell you what would happen if the label queue jams up on the printer. In simpler terms, you would lose some of the value of your print order. Here’s an example – if you want to print 100 first class mail stamps and it jammed right from the onset, it means a clearly wasting $44! This leaves me frustrated and scratching my head especially when you realize that modern print drivers can determine the hardware status of your printer REAL time, therefore preventing you from losses caused by hardware malfunction.
Where To Order Postage Stamps Online – Stamps.com
I just can’t believe how much money I have lost and given to the post office. Think about it – each time you ship out or mail a large envelope and just stick a couple of stamps without even knowing the exact weight of your package and its cost, you have overspent as much as I have. Well, this won’t happen anymore thanks to the 5 pound digital scale from Stamps.com. Those days of throwing cash away are long gone. As for the digital scale, it’s very easy and intuitive to use. All you have to do is plug in a 9 volt battery and it’s all set to go.
As far as my records go, ever since I have used Stamps.com’s free digital postal scale, I never had any mail returned because of insufficient postage. And I believe I haven’t overstamped any packages. And believe me, it’s just one of the features and add ons from Stamps.com that you will surely love. Want to print customized or personalized postage stamps? Want to print shipping labels with addresses on them in one go? No problem! Stamps.com’s intuitive and easy to use software could perform all of those tasks in one click.
So far, everything about Stamps.com has been very rosy and pleasant. I’m not being biased or anything BUT this relative newcomer in the online postage industry beats Endicia by a mile. I think I’m going to stick with Stamps.com for a very long time. Why not check their website out and see it for yourself? Or research more with this Stamps.com review?

How To Purchase Postage Stamps Online And Ship Your Package Step 1
First and foremost, you need to pay for the postage. That requires having your own Stamps.com account. For those of you who don’t know it, this website comes with 2 types of membership – the basic and the premium monthly plan. The basic membership entitles you to purchase online postage stamps and print them – the only thing you need to pay for is the price of the stamps you consumed PLUS 10 percent of the total amount or $1.99 (whichever is higher). HOWEVER, should you need something more than just getting stamps online, say designing your custom postages, print shipping labels, etc., then by all means go for their Premium plan (at $15.99), which entitles you to all of these and a whole lot more.
How To Purchase Postage Stamps Online And Ship Your Package Step 2
So have you already purchased and printed all of the postage stamps you need? Yeah? Here’s the next step – you need to choose the mailing address from your address book. This is another facet of mailing and shipping where Stamps.com shines! You see, their specialized software seamlessly works with applications like Outlook, QuickBooks, and other application. This means you can import addresses from these programs without any problems. Along with that, postage stamps found in Stamps.com could be printed from applications like Word, Outlook, and WordPerfect. Who says you need expensive software to get your postages?
To make the deal even sweeter, you also get a free 5 pound digital postal scale for weighing the packages and envelopes that you need to send out. Gone are the days when you overpay or underpay for postage. This postal scale is directly linked to your computer and it’s plug and play. PLUS, should you need a beefier scale to handle heavier and bulkier packages, no problem! You can easily upgrade it to a 25 pound scale when you need to.
How To Purchase Postage Stamps Online And Ship Your Package Step 3
Next, the software takes care of all the grunt work – it will automatically calculate and start printing all of the postage stamps wherever you want them to be printed to. Labels, papers, envelopes – go ahead and take your pick. You can be sure that the Stamps.com software can do it. Following that, the software also verifies the address by using the official USPS database. This makes sure that your shipment gets to the right hands at the right time. The receiver also gets an email from Stamps.com…notifying them that they will be receiving a package soon.
How To Purchase Postage Stamps Online And Ship Your Package Step 4
Last BUT not the least, you need to apply the postage on your package or letter. And if you are feeling a little lazy to post them at the Postal Office, no problem! Internet Postage Showdown – Click N Ship Vs Stamps.com
Feb 16, 2010 Postage Services
Where to buy online postage stamps? A quick search on Google search engine will reveal millions of related sites where you can grab all of the postage you need. HOWEVER, not all online postage stamp services are created equal. Some suck BIG time, others are average, and a few of them are outstandingly good. Right here, we will take a closer and better look at 2 of the best internet postage stamp sites that people from left, right, and center turn to whenever they are out of postage – Click N Ship and Stamps.com. Let’s take a closer look at both of them:
Internet Postage Showdown – Click N Ship Review
Anybody who has used the Click N Ship system can purchase and print out all of the postage stamps they need and all they need to have is an internet connection and a credit card. What’s nice about this online postage site is that signing up for them is free – no monthly charges, hidden fees, none whatsoever. All you have to do is pay for the postage that you have used.
When it comes to sending Priority Mail, Click N Ship is above average. It took me only a couple of minutes to set up my account with them. Printing prepaid postage for my packages and mails that I have to ship don’t take more than a minute!
Everything about this online postage site would have been good, except for one bad news – Click N Ship service is only available for printing postages for Express Mail, Priority Mail, Domestic Mailings, Global Express – in simpler terms, you could only use Click N Ship only on the expensive stuff. Bottom line – Click N Ship is good, BUT very limited. It’s OK for home use BUT small and home based business owners who need to ship out packages day in and day out.
Internet Postage Showdown – Stamps.com Review
I first heard about Stamps.com from a couple of people that I know. They were all giving it 2 thumbs up, saying that it’s a great service – saving them time and money that would have been wasted if you would go to the Postal Office each time you run out of postage stamps. I also learned a lot from a Stamps.com review. And when I got my Stamps.com software disk together with $25.00 worth of FREE postage, I knew I was in for a treat. There’s no way I could go wrong with it!
Before anything else, though, I would have to remind you that if you want to take advantage of Stamps.com’s service, you need a decent printer. Not exactly expensive BUT decent. So if your printer jams a lot, prints out of line, etc. you may want to grab or upgrade to a new one. Having bought a new HP inkjet printer, I know that I was on the safe side.
As for the Customer Service, it’s available ‘round the clock – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They’re friendly and very eager to help out. HOWEVER, there are times that you need to do something on your own when something goes unplanned.Back then, I had a couple of postage stamps that were not printed correctly.
When that happens, all you need to do is fill out an online form and send it together with the partially printed postage stamp. They will even reimburse your expenses for shipping these documents to them! So far I don’t have a lot of problems with Stamps.com. I think I have found the online postage stamp service that I’m going to stay with for a long time to come.
Want to know more about this online postage service? Well, all you have to do is – you’ve guessed it, check out their website Stamps.com. I’m sure you will find a lot of nice things in there. So nice and sweet you would be tempted to sign up RIGHT away!
Online Postage Stamps – Stamps.com’s NetStamps
Feb 15, 2010 stamps.com
A quick look on the internet is all it takes to reveal that online postage stamps and related shipping solutions and services are all on the rage. And rightly so! Who would want to spend hours driving down to the nearest post office, falling in line and fighting the crowd, and dealing with those sometimes not-so-friendly post office employees? I don’t know about you BUT I definitely wouldn’t want that. Buying postage stamps online is, logically, the number one choice whether you are a small and home based business owner who relies heavily on shipping packages ‘round the clock or someone who often runs out of stamps just when they need it.
Out of all the online postage stamp services out there, Stamps.com is, by far, the best among the rest – offering different postage solutions for different people and businesses. So you are someone who just wants to get online postage stamps when they need it? Yeah? If that’s the case, then the basic membership is yours for the taking. On the other hand, if you think a free postal scale along with $40 worth of stamps (for FREE) is a nice deal, then the Premium Membership is worth taking a look. These flexible membership deals along with different innovations like being able to design your own postage stamps, print shipping labels, etc. have made Stamps.com a huge hit!
Out of all the products and services that Stamps.com provides, the NetStamps are the most popular. And it’s NOT surprising why. NetStamps combine the convenience of being able to purchase the stamps from your home office and without the hassle of dealing with expiry dates and more. Why don’t we take a closer look at Stamps.com’s NetStamps and see what it has in store for you? Check this out:
NetStamps – No Expiration Dates!
YES, you have read that right. NetStamps don’t come with any expiration date, restrictions, etc. and you can print it without a valid mailing address or delivery. So what does this mean? This means you can print out a sheet full of stamps and you can use it anytime you need to – net week, next month, tomorrow…it’s all for you to decide. On the contrary, you may find that you only need to print the exact amount of postage stamps that your shipment demands. NetStamps don’t have any problem with this as well. You can print any denomination or value of the stamps you need and just the right amount of them. No need for you to print sheets jam packed with postage stamps unless you want or need to.
The Price?
NetStamps are priced just like your regular stamps. HOWEVER, they are way more affordable compared to driving down to the nearest post office buying postage stamps from there. Compare Online Postage Services – Which One Stands Out?
Feb 14, 2010 Postage Services
Alright, so you have decided to take advantage of online postage services, which is undoubtedly the hottest trend when it comes to mailing and postal solutions. HOWEVER, a bigger question confronts you now – which of the online postage services offers the BIGGEST bang for your buck? There are myriads of jaw dropping options out there, BUT there exists 3 primary online postage services that are worth trying.
First, we have the newcomer (BUT amazingly strong) Stamps.com. Next, comes the established and long timers Endicia as well as Pitney Bowes. Without a doubt, all of these 3 postal solutions will put an end on those long, time consuming, and boring trips to the post office just to get those stamps. HOWEVER, there can only be one, only one will offer the clearest edge when it comes to price, niceties and features, as well as convenience. And there is only one way to find out and that is to compare online postage services.
Compare Online Postage Services – The Prices
To begin, let’s check out the monthly prices for these print postage online services. Pitney Bowes’ most affordable option is priced at $17.99 every month. For that, you get a postage meter (for rent) , which in turn lets you print everything you need for your packages and mail outs – letters, flats, parcels, and everything else in between. That sure sounds like a great deal until you realize that Pitney Bowes charges a couple of hidden monthly fees (OUCH!). What I hate most about them is that they bind you with an early termination fee. Should you make up your mind that you no longer have the need for an online postage service; Pitney Bowes will take off money from your account. Along with that, you also don’t get discounts for the postal services that you use day in and day out. I don’t know about you BUT Pitney Bowes gets a thumbs down in this department.
Endicia.com, on the other hand, offers a monthly plan for $15.95 – this is their so called premium package. Appealing it may sound, Stamps.com’s package surpasses Endicia’s premium plan. For $15.99, you get a free digital scale from Stamps.com combined with truckloads of discounts that you won’t find anywhere else. I have been using Stamps.com for a long time now and so far, everything is good price wise. There are no hidden and towering fees to pay for, no need to spend more for additional equipment, and no, they won’t bind you with termination fees like other online postage services would.
What do you get with Stamps.com basic monthly package? A heck of a LOT! First, you get to print everything – shipping labels, envelopes, postage, customized stamps, and those are just to name a few. To make the deal even sweeter, you also get discounts for the shipping insurance as well as different postal services that you may use like Fed Ex. When it comes to saving more and getting more, Stamps.com is the clear winner.
Compare Online Postage Services – The Learning Curve
Another HUGE difference between Endicia and Pitney Bowes pitted against Stamps.com is the confusion that arises when you are starting out and still trying to figure out what you can do with your account. On the other hand, Stamps.com gives more straightforward details how to use their features and add ons. I don’t know BUT it seems like the other 2 are intentionally confusing you with their offers. Again, Stamps.com is at a great advantage when it comes to shortening and flattening the learning curve.
Compare Online Postage Services – Convenience
When it comes to convenience, Stamps.com is hard to beat! Right off the bat, you can use your account and turn your personal computer and printer into a personal post office. Very easy to use, very intuitive, saves you A LOT of time and money, and does what it’s supposed to – when you compare online postage services against Stamps.com, this website is the clear winner! Check out this Stamps.com review to learn more about this awesome online postage service!
Online Postage Services – Stamps.com EXPOSED!
Feb 13, 2010 stamps.com
It’s about time you kiss those long term leases, extremely expensive inks, very expensive monthly subscriptions and hidden fees goodbye. Let me ask you something – do you know how much you are spending on your postage meters? There’s a great chance that you don’t. After all, with those maintenance fees, early termination fees, expensive and branded inks for printing your postage, it’s hard to calculate how much goes out of your pocket and how much goes into theirs. The good news, HOWEVER, is that online postage services like Stamps.com are around to offer you a way better deal!
For one thing, Stamps.com comes with an advanced BUT very intuitive online postage and printing system that doesn’t depend on expensive postage meters. What do you need to start printing with one of the best online postage services? SIMPLE – a computer, a printer, an internet connection, and a little bit of your brain to handle it all. Just in case you don’t know, it’s 50 percent more affordable than your usual postage meters. For a very low and flat rate fee of $15.99, you can print labels, postage, stamps, and everything else in between. Forget about hidden fees and other surprises.
Not convinced that Stamps.com is way better than your average online postage services and postage meter? Why don’t we take a closer look at the fees and expenses that postage meters entail (which Stamps.com don’t) in this Stamps.com review?
Expensive Postage Meter Ink
For those of you who don’t know it, the ink that your postage meter costs 100 times more than the standard ink that your inkjet printer uses. That means you are spending $ 0.10 for every print. On the other hand, Stamps.com uses the ink that your desktop printer uses. No need for you to buy proprietary and expensive inks. With Stamps.com, you only have to spend $ 0.001 for every print. Why stick with postage meter inks that cots 100 times as much as the most expensive printer inks and laser toners when you can get all the postage you need (and so much more) for a significantly lower price?
Online Postage Services – Equipment Insurance, S&H, And Other Fees
You may NOT know it BUT these additional fees mentioned could be added to your monthly bill without you knowing it. There are one time fees like $25 for shipping your postage meter or to replace it if something is defective or wrong. YES, you have read that right. You are the one who pays for the replacement shipping instead of them. And the fees from postage meters and other postage services are just getting started! Some of them even include monthly insurance for the equipment that could cost up to $12 a month. With Stamps.com, you don’t get any of these fees!
Yearly And Automatic Price Increase
Many postage meter companies and online postage services and websites raise the rates and fees you pay for every single year depending on how much postage you have consumed. Instead of appreciating your loyalty and giving you discounts on the postage services that you use the most, these companies are working on this mindset – “If you are using it more and more, that means you need it badly and won’t mind shelling out extra cash for their service.” I have been a customer of Stamps.com for a very longer time now, and I can’t tell you how much I have saved with their print postage online solution.
Save MORE Money With One Of The Best Online Postage Services!
It’s about time you completely shut down your postage meter, send it back to the company that gave you, and start taking advantage of the myriads of discounts and features that Stamps.com has to offer. Falling in line for hours to buy postage is not my cup of tea, BUT spending more when I don’t have to isn’t either. With Stamps.com, you get the best of both worlds – affordability and convenience.

There’s no doubt about it – one of the BIGGEST wasters of time, money, and everything else is that long and boring trip to the post office…and even longer and more boring line at the post office just to get your hands on those much needed postage stamps. This is especially true if you are someone who needs to ship packages and letters day in and day out. And to top that off, the post office closest to my home had some very grumpy and impatient employees working for it. I had no choice BUT to use that extra 10 minutes, walk to the nearest one just to avoid being hot headed myself.
That explains why I had tears of joy when these online postage companies made it to the internet. Think about it – gone are the days when I have to spend long hours falling in line, dealing with grumpy post office employees, and more. Back then, I was stuck between 2 websites that offer these deals for stamps – Pitney Bowes Online Postage Service and Stamps.com. Both seem to get great reviews (see this Stamps.com review) and praises from people all over the internet. Both seem to have great add ons and features that make life a heck lot easier. I had no choice BUT to give both a shot and see which one works better (at least for my case):
Pitney Bowes Online Postage – A Closer Look
During my first couple of months with Pitney Bowes, everything was pleasant and rosy. HOWEVER, after a closer look at my monthly bills, I realized that the charges kept going up! You see, you need to pay for the rent of the postage machine and that’s for approximately $40.00 a month. Along with that, you need to pay for the cost of the ink as well as the postage on top of everything.
That’s quite a lot in my opinion, especially when you consider the fact that I don’t use the machine that often. The fact that it saves me a trip to the post office though means that it pays for itself, especially when I start billing my clients. PLUS, the fact that it comes with a feature that allows me to precisely calculate postage (using an extra $ 0.39 per stamp and mixing combinations of $ 0.01 and $ 0.10), I’m at ease and assured that I won’t overpay for postage. In conclusion, I’d say that Pitney Bowes is worth a try. BUT I feel that I could get a better deal somewhere else. And I think I’ve found it!
Stamps.com – The REAL DEAL!
Looking for something that’s more affordable YET still feature packed, I turned my sights on Stamps.com. The nice thing about this online postage website is that there are no equipments or hardware needed. All you need is a software that integrates with your computer and printer – and VIOLA! You can start printing all of the postage stamps you need for your shipments.
So how much for all of these you ask?
For a measly $15.99 plus paying for the labels, your postage stamp worries will be gone without a trace. For those of you who don’t know it, a pack of 125 labels would only cost you $5 and you just have to factor in the shipping for the packs. And making the deal even sweeter, you also get a couple of sheets and a postal scale free of charge when you sign up.
If you are someone who runs a small or home based business that requires mailing of some sort – say eBay, running an online store, or when you just have to mail information kits to your potential clients, by all means give Stamps.com a shot! Pitney Bowes is good, BUT you sure don’t want the extra charges creeping up later.
